South Gloucestershire Senior Youth Music Centre

Monday night is music night for many of South Gloucestershire’s most accomplished young musicians. The role of the Senior Music Centre is to take players to an advanced level with their music making by rehearsing, performing and expanding their musical experiences with expert guidance from professional musicians and educators.

For more information about joining the Senior Music Centre, click here.

The South Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra, South Gloucestershire Youth Wind Orchestra and South Gloucestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra are the backbone of the Senior Music Centre but there are additional opportunities for chamber groups and solo features. You can check below for our full performance diary of local and national concerts and festival appearances. The Senior Centre recently gave a performance in St. Georges in Bristol and the Wind Orchestra made their third appearance in five years at the National Festival of Music for Youth giving a stunning performance in Symphony Hall, Birmingham.

Joining in September 2016 also gives you a chance to perform a world premiere at the prestigious Schools Proms at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday November 14th.
